It's been a busy kind of week in a not-really-very-busy-but not-much-time-all-the-same kind of way.
Wednesday involved going to a sci-fi night at the pub which was incredibly disappointing as a sci-fi night, as all that seemed to be diferent to the usual was a woman with brillo pads strapped to her head wandering about, and the DJ had a hooded robe and played the Red Dwarf and Dr Who theme tunes.
I forget what I've done to be honest. Thursday I went to see Hot Hot Heat, who were great. Their support bands were okay. The first band had a singer whose vocals didn't quite sit right with the music (the music I really liked), and the second band all looked like they were trying way too hard to look cool to actually interact with each other. Hot Hot Heat were awesome and I've developed a slight crush on the singer.
There were lots of poncey indie types in ginormous sunglasses, evidently they hadn't noticed they were a) inside, and b) in complete darkness. However I went to the loo at one point, and found somebody had left their giant sunglasses on the side of the sink. Nobody was in there, and I waited a minute, and nobody turned up, so yoink, new sunglasses
We had fun posing in an uber cool manner with the enormous glasses on.
I also got a package in the post of these dresses I ordered from some nice cheap people online, and they're v pretty. Black and white and spotty and patterned-y. Plus they sent me some freebies of cute hairclips and earrings which came in cute packets, which was superlovely of them. It makes up for me breaking my mega tacky blue hoop earrings (remember them from a few entries ago...?) in the pub the other day.
The weekend was sunny and happy and I had fun wandering round town looking at things I can't afford, and eating nice food in nice cafes.

Today I got a phonecall letting me know I have a job I'm starting on Thursday night to get the hang of it, but the new bar upstairs is opening on Friday night, and I'll be working then and Saturday night too. And this afternoon I got tattooed by a lovely lady at Intro in Brighton. I'll put pictures up when I get arond to taking some.
