rant time again.
i just had my first Hot Pocket ever and i was very surprised! looks like i may have to make a trip back to the store and try out several varieties. the philly cheese steak one i just had was ehhh...could have been much better.
christmas is upon us. i love this time of year SOOOOO much. i just wish i was able to see the family that i never get to see throughout the rest of the year this month. it sucks being in Florida and having my family enjoying that nice snow up in NYC.
i miss christmas shopping during the really cold winter days. it's just sorta magical. that rush you feel. being all bundled up in a nice thick coat. going from store to store with the crowds.
i love the cold weather anyway. we finally got colder weather the day after thanksgiving but that means a low of 50ish and a high of 60ish. i miss a nice long 30 degree day and then nights that dropped down in the teens. i like being bundled up all toasty and warm in my bed with a nice big quilt and socks.
for those of you who may have wanted some updates, i still have yet to talk to that girl who went off on me and i haven't met with the band's manager yet. i went to their show on saturday and was very surprised. i still haven't gotten one of their cd's yet. the bass player, who i had talked to about working with them on new material, mentioned that to their guitar player while we were at the bar after the show and he seemed very indifferent to the whole idea and like he was just nodding his head but not really listening to what the bass player was saying. i'm not sure if he was just yessing him to death because he couldn't hear him and that kid can ramble when he's drinking or he was just being polite without saying he didn't want my help. we'll have to just wait and see.
i want my own band though. people are just so fucking unreliable. i can never seem to meet people around here who are interesting in doing stuff. they always live in orlando, which isn't THAT far but it's not just down the street. so making a 30 minute trek to jam or whatever that ends up not going that great can lead to bad feelings about moving forward.
it's just after watching the guys play on Saturday and seeing the band who played after them treat the back area of a small record store like the fucking green room at the house of blues made me want to be in a band just to be able to tell that band to fuck off. they literally had all their friends clogged into what is basically just a storage area trying to look cool while we were trying to get drums out the backdoor. apparently one of them said that they're going to be opening up for "Slayer and Pantera," which is quite funny since Pantera is no longer together...
