no one from work is looking at this...right?
ok, so yeah, i called in sick to work yesterday...from inside disneyland! what a fukking rush-i was on hold waiting to talk to my boss when an announcement came on over the speaker that was right over my head!!! i hung up the phone so damned fast-called back after it was over n fortunately, they were just marking me out sick n no one ever heard the announcement. my friends nearly died when the announcer started talking...i would have been so dead!
friday night-a whopping 6 hours of sleep, then off to bust ass at work saturday before getting off at 12:30 just to rush home n get my stuff so we could head down to disneyland where my friend jim was already waiting for us in line. we got to d around 1:30am where we found jim n waited in line until almost 3am before they finally let us into california adventure so we could settle down n try to sleep...
of course, there was no sleep to be had...but i was so cool hanging out in DCA all night. they started letting us into disneyland at 7 am n we found out that we were in the first group of 1000 to get into the park for the 50th anniversary. we had a great day! the heat wasn't as bad as i had been expecting, it only hit around 85 and the park was nowhere near as crowded as it was on may 5th for the media hell explosion. space mtn was way cool n we managed to get on it twice - yay! the fireworks were amazing, as usual, and i sat there crying like a dork during them cuz it made me think of my grandpa.
all in all, an awesome start to my birthday celebrations. next is the release of devil's rejects on friday and i have the day off for that. n then my bday on monday - woohoo! almost 33! i can't wait-i love bday's! then on august 5/6/7 i am going to vegas to see bb king at stateline. and at some point, there is supposed to be a new lenore comic if dire ever finishes it... and, if i wake up at a reasonable time on friday, i might get to go see charlie n the chocolate factory before devil's rejects. yeah man, that's good stuff!
