wow have i had two major long days at work. 24 hours in two days. i'm already looking forward to the weekend.
I was supposed to go get tattoo'ed today (stayed too late at work and had to cancel). I'm getting "the dude abides" on my chest. I always thought I wouldn't find enough meaning in anything to get it tattoo'ed. Mostly I'm just looking for art and creativity.
There's something about that line from The Big Lebowski. It strikes a cord with me. 2008 should have been a good year for me, but I feel like it wasn't. I realized that's because I wouldn't let myself be happy. I'm in a constantly down on myself because SOME things don't go my way. Good things never seem to be easy for me, everything is a battle. That tattoo I'm hoping will make me remember to take what I have and appreciate it. When good things come along, accept them be happy, when things don't work out, keep fucking rolling.
I've already decided i'm going to hit up Off the Wagon saturday and check out Ugli Stick. They're a pretty great little jam band mostly. They have a lot of original music, but mostly at shows they just play covers. If you were a teenager in the 90's you may not LOVE all the music, but it all brings back memories.
