So i am pretty much writing a blog here now because i haven't since before Christmas and once again I'm pretty sure no-one gives a shit, none the less I am writing one anyway.
So lets see... what can i tell thee oh SG community. Well I have embarked on a fitness routine that sees me at bootcamp 3 times a week at 5;30 in the AM. Its become highly addictive and im hoping to win a 12 week challenge that we have just started both to lose the weight and because there are some frikken awesome prizes which make for even more motivation to succeed. Its all body weight training and considering im no light weight it has become pretty intense. I spent the entire December and half of January training on the beach and now we alternate between sports fields and the beach. Needless to say the beach is HELL compared to the fields.
On the Work front things have started off better than last year however being a freelance designer is still a bitch when it comes to end of month bills etc. I seem to have enough smarts to keep making it work so for now thats looking ok. Heres an illustration i did recently, because i have decided i need to get back to being my creative self and not just churning out the corporate crap that pays the bills. It eats into my chill time but i've found it to be a necessary exercise to maintain some sort of sanity.
Other than that i am busy with a very exciting project that will see me opening a creative space that will include an art working area, micro offices, a Barista bar, a tattoo parlor, a barber, a snack bar and many more other things in my Home city of Durban. It will be situated in an industrial area and will be the first venue of its kind in Durban regarding the size of the venue and its purpose. More to come on that when i have more detail to report.
In love.. Well lets just say that i now have permanently charred fingers from getting them burnt to many times. I guess im just a sucker for a fiery female. But im working on my issues and have started to be less of a door mat/ hand bag holder, well at least i think so. This remains to be tested through out this 2014 year so i'll let you know how that goes in good time.
Other than that my life is still pretty darn average to tell you the truth so before i start to ramble on too much i will just say... Catch you on the flip side (to whoever reads my drivel) .
