Friday 21 January,Homelife at Night and Day,TVOD at Legends(MANCHESTER,ENGLAND)
I arrived at Night and Day too early. My mate Tag said he was going to be there at 9-9.15pm, but he wasn't,which was no suprise. So I sat watching Homelife practice whilst slugging away at my Budvar.
Tag arrived with Sall at about 9.30.Sall was wearing a very nice geometrically patterned dress, but Tag wasn't.It seems as if Tag knows one of my old "friends" (a pain in the arse who I got to know because he liked Death In June) and has the same opinion of him as I do-that he is a boring swine, and would be a multiple philanderer if he wasn't so ugly and boring.
Enough of the bitching. Homelife star as a vocalist, to my great suprise, Seeming (one of Salls friends that I met at Eat Your Make-up). You never expect people you know to be terrific singers I suppose, but Seeming is,she has a lovely voice. She has also changed her haircut from an awful almost monk-style bob to a proper bob, and now looks lovely as well.Homelife incude Graham Massey amongst their number, and their songs are part dub, part pop, and part electronica, which allied to Seemings' vocals make a wonderfully unplifting whole.Aaaaaahhhhhhh.....
I left early to go to TVOD, where I met Neil(from Propertop) and his mates. TVOD was a little odd this time-I don't mind a pop/non-mainstream mix but this time there was too much pop,too much of it was bland and it was all very polite.I got chatting to a bloke who I believe was trying to chat ME up. So I vacated the dancefloor and instead had a chinwag with Helen(one of Theas friends-her mob was there).Once they left I could no longer be bothered and went home.
