The Works Do was at the University, a big improvement on the awful Brittania Hotel where previous dos have been held.The room was large,well fitted out and had a decent sized bar, and the buffet was very good when it came.The DJ was pretty dodgy sounding but funny,and the music??Most of it was SHIT with a capital S,but at least it wasn't all Christmas related.

I was sat with Phil Hunt,his wife,Rhys and his girlfriend (who told me the Trans-Siberian Express was boring-but she went on her own,which won't have helped, and no-one spoke English). There was the oddly repetitive sloppyness/bust-up and tears, then sloppiness from one couple.Another person tried to flirt with me and half the other blokes in the room(this happens on each do she attends and is getting boring).One girl was wearing such a small miniskirt that when she bent over,revealing a very skimpy pair of knickers and an admittedly beautiful rear, my lovely friend Zoe gasped.

There were some silly but highly entertaining games-such as the rude horse race(five lucky men being ridden by five girls).OK ,I say lucky,but one "horse" threw his "rider" several times because he was slightly built,and,er,she wasn't.

Two guys dressed up as the Cheeky Girls-if I had known I would have volunteered-we also had Madness,Michael Jackson (this impersonation wasn't convincing-no child attached)-Disco Dancing Steve as Elton John, and five women as the Village People.

We were also richly "entertained" by an impression of Robbie Williams, performed by someone who a friend of mine referred to as "Mr Slime",and his super smooth moves on several women.On a previous occasion,this included being given hand relief by a girl whilst he was sat at Chinese Restaurant with his workmates.

In the end I got fed up and left.The evening would have been greatly improved by better music,even some Boney M.
