Finished another picture yesterday, I think. It looks like this:
I don't know why I love airplanes so much, especially the planes from the 20's through the late 40's, right before the jet. They're just so, well, fascinating.
The plane in the picture above is from the 487th Bomber Squadron, and was shot down by anti-aircraft fire in June 1944 over Italy. Of six crewmen, three survived. The pilot was killed by the anti-aircraft fire itself, as was at least one of the gunners.
Those guys were some really couragous heroes.
