So the joys of Christmas are almost upon us, and being a student I'm finding ways to cut corners without compromising gifts.
One of the ways that I have done this is to wrap every present I get in brown paper. Yes it is tight, but wrapping paper is expensive and glossy. Sure it makes the pile of presents under the tree look enticing, and of course the biggest brightest present will always hold your curiosity the longest. But once the wrapping paper is torn off with various levels of curiosity it all meets the same end; the start of a warm fire or just another piece of paper going to land fill.
Now in order to make my brown paper identifiable when my friends are doing a present exchange I wish to give each of the presents a personal touch. In order to do this I wish to draw an anime caricature of each of my friends instead of a name tag
There is a massive problem with this, despite being a big fan of anime and Manga, I have no idea how to draw it, so, with just a week till I need to send the parcel to my friends across the boarder, I need to learn fast!
I don't really know where to start, should I focus on the face, or the features?
If anyone could give me some pointer possibly even some links to go to, it would be greatly appreciated
No matter what the result I will post pictures of the final labels, though I do hope I can somehow make them at least adequate.
