So... we got a house!!! We found this beautiful colonial with $100,000 in upgrades and put a contract on it before we even set foot on the property. Upon inspection, it was found that the foundations was in horrid condition & the roof was awful. The owner is replacing the roof & repairing the foundation at no cost to us! Well, if they should move forward with the "plan" I still think you have every right to discuss your feelings on the issue. Just remember, the squeaky wheel get the grease, so sometime you have to stand your ground or get run over. Over the years I've learned a lot about dealing with people and one thing I know for certain, people perform to your level of expectation, ask a lot, get a lot. This is a double edged sword in that it works both ways. You give a lot to your employer, so it's not unreasonable to expect some payback for your efforts. Certainly, consideration in the job you do would fall into the category.
