Just a little rant.
Deleted my personal Facebook very recently because I could no longer endure the constant drama, stupidity, ignorance, and superficial or materialistic posts people seem to enjoy all the time. I have come to realize a great many things about the general population being on a social networking site though..which is great because I love me some good insight on how peoples minds tend to work or not work for that matter. I am usually a depressed case that struggles with a roller coaster of emotions from time to time and I really don't need to be stressed about how stupid people in this world really are.
I swear I just feel like slapping a "I am society's BITCH" sign on so many peoples forehead too. There are so many weak minded, gullible people who just do what ever society programs them to do. I mean seriously.. just like people who buy designer brands (that really can't afford it) just because they THINK they will be held in a higher regard. It's absolute madness to me to buy over priced things just for a logo. I know that these brands often have better quality but if you buy a $300 purse that you dislike after 3 months or don't even use often I really don't think your getting your money's worth. If I own anything from a designer brand it's because I got that shit free or at a seriously discounted price. I don't know, I will never understand the need to APPEAR of higher status. I enjoy spending my money wisely and on more important things like mine or my families NEEDS. ~sigh~ I hope my kids will never be like this..

Good, worthwhile rant. Most people are sheep - they follow each other, never thinking for themselves. I don't own any designer rubbish, and never wear clothes that are just free adverts. The only branded stuff I wear are DM boots, and have done since 1976, and Caterpillar coats - it's quality gear, has tiny 'Cat' logos, and they were making workwear at the early part of last century. That's all. I have a no-name denim jacket that outlasted (I'm still wearing it) a Levi's one I was given. I've never given in to peer pressure, simply done my own thing. But, generally, people are fucking dumb. Just think of that scene from 'The Life Of Brian', where Brian tries to tell the crowd that they are individuals, and the crowd shouts as one: "We're all individual!". That's what people are like. And no, I don't do Arsebook, or Shitter. They seem to be crawling with no-marks and creeps. xxxxx
