REPLACING RACHELLE LEFEVRE (VICTORIA) IN THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE
Ok, so I was having a conversation about this movie with my older sister about a preview I watched when I noticed an unfamiliar red head. I told my sis that the girl I saw is not the Victoria from the previous films. She then told me "yes it is she just changed the color of her hair" so naturally being the googler that I am I looked it up and it turns out I was right. The womans name is Bryce Dallas Howard. Now although I have not yet seen this film, I find myself wondering if I should even bother after discovering this ugly truth.
I don't know about anyone else but I loved Rachelle, I thought she rocked as Victoria. I honestly believe Summit screwed up replacing her and I think if and when I do see this flick I will be staring at this girl like she is some kind of stranger and wondering 'what does the new girl have against bella?'. Anyway..
Here is a statement from Rachelle herself that I found:
"I was stunned by Summit's decision to recast the role of Victoria for Eclipse. I was fully committed to the Twilight saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria. I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules.
"My commitment to Barney's Version is only 10 days. Summit picked up my option for Eclipse. Although the production schedule for Eclipse is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those 10 days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for Eclipse, never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10-day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.
I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the Twilight audience. This is a story, a theatrical journey and a character that I truly love and about which I am very passionate. I will be forever grateful to the fan support and loyalty I've received since being cast for this role, and I am hurt deeply by Summit's surprising decision to move on without me. I wish the cast and crew of Eclipse only the very best."

and wait til it comes out
im a huuuge twilight fan and they just totally fucked up. this movie was the worst and i really did NOT like Bryce for the part. Richelle had this edge and bitchiness about her. Bryce belongs in a Mary Poppins movie.
Either way, this movie really sucked compared to the others.
twilight has stuck out as the best thus far...
