so i'm working and getting ready to take a bread order into a kroger store. i'm in pekin illinois, a white bread, red neck, blue collar kinda town. this tall chick in high heels, blk stockings and garters...with a tiny french maid outfit goes strolling by. (it's 7 am) i did a full on double take, it was definately a guy in drag! he was walking slowly around the lot and he really needed a shave. his walk sucked too, he had the man walk. people were freakin. there were some construction workers back there too, and they were getting all upset. you DON'T see this kind of behavior round these here parts. then he walked over to a semi and got in. 
i'm thinkin someones sellin more than groceries at krogers. so far this year, i have seen jesus and a horny maid during my rounds in pekin... life is good. 
lollapalooza was fabby.
1 dresden dolls . they did a piano/drums cover of black sabbath's war pigs (it killed) great drummer.
2 chilli peppers . i've seen em a buncha times, they were on top of their game yet again. john frusciente rules.
3 queens of the stone age . played all my favs...and like badasses i might add.
4 raconteurs . jack white did a crazy guitar solo, all noisey and crankin.

A guy in drag? Paleeze, I wake up that everyday over here. Well, not literally, you know what I mean.
I love that the construction workers were somehow getting offended, gimme a break. Can you say repressed sexuality? Ok, so maybe they just hadn't seen that sort of thing before, I like my analysis better.
