I feel like I owe an explanation as to why I've hardly been around here for a while. So far this year has been excellent and shitty at the very same time.
Let's start with the excellent part! A big reason I've been absent from SG lately is so that I can focus on my relationship. Some of you may remember a few past blogs I've written about my road trips up to Aspen to meet a lovely young lady. Well I can happily say that that lovely young lady is now my girlfriend. We had some time to really think about whether or not it would work between us, seeing as though we live nearly 200 miles apart. She went back home to Mexico for about a month, and I told her I would not text her wile she was gone so that we could both decide what we wanted to do. When she came back we had both decided that we actually couldn't live without each other. I'm pretty deeply in love with her and she expressed the same feelings towards me. So I drove up to see her again about a week and a half ago, this time in the town she actually lives in, not far from Aspen, and we made it official. It's a little difficult not being able to see her every day, but I think we feel strongly enough about each other that we'll make that work for the time being. So if anyone reading this has any advice on long distance relationships, I'm all ears haha.

Now for the shitty part of this year so far. I won't go into it too deep, but I got a call last week that one of my best friends had suffered a heart attack and did not make it. This hit me hard, considering how out of nowhere it was, and how young he was. It's been more than a week and I still don't feel like it's actually happening. This has definitely brought my friends and I a lot closer lately, and I'm hoping that lasts.
So just a quick update from me, and a little bit of why I've been gone. I still don't know if I'm going to return to SG fully though. While I love all the people I've met here, and interacting with them and everyone else here, and writing blogs and sharing my favorite sets, it takes a lot of my time, because I fully commit to seeing every set and picking just the ones that really stand out to me, and as I've said before, I'm not a great writer so that part takes me a while too haha. I still have about a month left before my membership expires, and I'll still be checking in from time to time, but I'm still undecided as to whether or not I'll come back.
