So I'll take a little break from describing in detail my trip home for my dad's memorial. You guys don't want to hear that depressing stuff anyway, do you?
Anyway, yesterday I hit the mall. It's true I don't have any money, but I did have some coupons and I needed new pants. I headed to Express, which is my favorite store ever - in part because that's the only place that sells pants that fit me, AND they send me awesome coupons. My coupon was for $15 off a $30 purchase. That's a helluva deal. And it turned out it was clearance time - 40% off lowest marked price.
I picked out some new black pants and a cute little wool skirt that will look awesome over black tights and legwarmers.
Both were originally $60, then after all the markdowns, the total came to $29.98. Technically I was 2 cents short of being able to use my coupon, but the chick didn't notice. So I got my $15 off. Pants and a skirt for $15!
Then I went to another store and was just perusing, when I saw the cutest softest slippers ever. I don't like cold feetsies, so I DO need slippers. And when they are marked down 50%, I have to take them. So $7 for slippers.
Then off to Victoria's Secret to redeem my coupon for free panties (value = $9). At the end of the day, I should have spent about $150, but I got away with pants, a skirt, slippers, and panties for about $22.
Awesome.
ps - my new set goes up on Tuesday February 3! Keep an eye out for it!
