Starting Tuesday, I am no longer unemployed. Thanks to good friend RahRah, I have a job. She got me an interview (which apparently was just a formality, since she holds a lot of sway in the company) at her work. Sadly, after training, we won't be working together. But it actually works out for both of us because she recently moved, so trucking back to this place was inconvenient. However, I still have no car so having a job within walking distance is pretty awesome.

What I gather from RahRah is that sure, once in a while I'll have to deal with customers, but mostly I'm sitting in an empty office. All by my lonesome. Which means I can bring my laptop, DS, books, or whatever else I feel like bringing to pass the day away. I can wear whatever I want, tattoos, dyed hair, yay. And it won't be like my old job where even though I had no work to do I still had to give the impression of working, so I had to stick to only a few select web pages. Here I can watch tv or whatever since I'll be by myself.

You all know that I will do whatever work around the place needs to be done, but in downtime, it's nice to know I can amuse myself however I want. And I can walk to work. (That's an extra super plus because going for my "follow up" was the first time I'd ever driven in snow, and I hated it.) And I get a paycheck so I don't have to try & scrape by on $400 a month from the state of MI anymore!
