So thank you to everyone who bought jewelry to help my mom out... she is thrilled she's coming to my sister's wedding. My brother, however, will not be attending.

Because he's in jail.

"He was really trying to stay out of trouble" my mom said. Really? Is being a minor - on probation - getting caught with a DUI really trying to not get in trouble? Because I'm pretty sure it's easier to not do that stuff. If you're on probation, don't get caught doing anything wrong. If you're under 21, don't drink & drive. (You shouldn't do that anyway.) And certainly don't combine the two.

So in addition to worrying about paying bills because my entire household is now unemployed, I get to worry about how my little brother is never going to straighten out his life. I guess it's easier... there's a better chance of him not getting shot if he's in jail. And I never have to wonder where to find him. So it's pretty awesome in that respect.

So between my brother being a jailbird and me having to go on state assistance to buy food, I'm not doing such a great job at overcoming my white trash roots. Trailer livin, here I come.
