Just a quick update:
I am definitely not pregnant. My period started on the 19th. if we conceive this cycle, my due date would be around Dec 26th. I guess I can't avoid having winter babies!
I've had a lot of family drama going on. For starters, had a family friend stay with us for a few days. I found another place for her to stay because we couldn't afford to keep feeding her. My friend that she is staying with called me today saying that she went out with some guy and came back so high that she could barely function. My friend checked her prescription meds that she had filled the previous day. She's on seizure meds and he said that within a 24 hr period, she had consumed 17 pills (out of the 30 that was in the bottle). She is a huge mess. My friend is a bit pissed and freaked out. He is supposed to have a talk with her whenever she comes to. Not a pleasant situation.
My mom called me earlier this week to tell me that my grandma possibly has Stage 2 breast cancer. The cancer doctor that my grandma is going to also told my mom that if my grandma's family doctor actually examined her properly (the doc was just doing mammograms and not a physical examination), that the cancer could have been caught at least 6 months in advance. John is going to see about taking about a week off during the summer so I can go visit my grandma.
My grandma is 70 yrs old. She just won the battle with emphezyma a few years ago (after she stopped smoking for about 15 yrs) and now this. I am not sure if she would able to survive or handle the rounds of chemo.
John is gettinga schedule change mid-April, He's keeping the same hrs but he'll be getting Saturdays and Sundays off. That will be mega nice.

The same thing happened to my father and my grandmother. They had symptoms long before the cancer was detected and by the time it was the docs were like: "Sorry its too late." Two weeks after they were diagnosed they were gone. Lazy fucking doctors.

I see there's some good news as far as John and work are concerned. I wish I had something insightful to say about your grandmother and your friend. I your friend gets herself straightened out soon
