Okay guys. I have some updated news for you.
I discovered earlier this week that Norritt has been selling Gir Love and Drink Me, Eat Me prints on DeviantART without a model release form and my consent for up to 2 yrs without my knowledge whatsoever.
The first thing I did was email DeviantART. The second thing I did was got a lawyer in the matter. I also msged Norritt to stop selling the photos and to remove them himself but he hasn't read the msg.
DeviantART contacted me. They had me provide them a URL of each picture that Norritt is selling without my permission. They are going to remove the pictures from public view. Then they are going to give him 30 days to provide a model release form. If he doesn't provide a valid form, they will delete the photos from his profile and within the next 30 days, delete the photos entirely from their servers.
I asked them if Norritt provided a model release form, if I could obtain a copy to verify my signature to make sure it's not forged or if the staff was going to verify my signature. I have even requested a copy of the "model release" from Norritt if he magically came up with one to cover my bases.
If he goes as far as forging my signature either manually or digitally, he crosses federal line and I will be pressing charges.
Now HOPEFULS:
ANYTIME you have a photographer take pictures of you, they are REQUIRED to have a model release from you if they want to use the pictures for COMMERCIAL USE. They CANNOT make money off the pictures without permission from you!!
