Ugh our bank is so frustrating. Since there isn't a Navy Federal local to us, we deposited John's pension check via ATM. According to the Navy Federal website, the check was only supposed to take no more than 5 CALENDAR days to deposit. The money has been IN our account Saturday but the funds have not been made available to us.

John called the bank this morning because the gas we got on Saturday had went through but the money has not. They told him to go to the branch in Glendale and they *might* be able to release it. So John drove ALL the way to Glendale for them to tell him that we *MIGHT* see the funds on Tuesday but if we don't. we probably won't see the funds until Thursday because the check was over $2500. Yeah uh that is more than 5 CALENDAR days the Navy Federal website said it would take. Manager said it was supposed to be business days because the check was so large.

On top of that, we ran out of electricity (we have pay as you go electricity) so our power went out at 6am this morning. Our damn box didn't beep when it was supposed to so I didn't think to check it til yesterday. So Bryan, bless his heart, spotted us $20 to hold us til the funds come through. But SRP gave us an extra $17 because I forgot I signed up for their poor people credit buff so now we really don't need to worry about electricity til the money comes in. I am crossing my fingers that it comes in tomorrow because I have things coming up this week I was hoping to have the money for.
