1) I think I'm just not going to bother trying to find a gf. OKC is not working out for me. And I don't go anywhere to meet anyone. "Well then get out more Dru!!" you say. I wish it were that easy.
John works 2nd shift Wed-Sun. Regular people work Mon-Friday the typical 9-5. Schedule conflict for one. Secondly, I live out in the middle of fucking nowhere Mesa so I'm way far away from any other regular people. Third, between the distance and lack of time, I don't really think I can offer anything productive to a relationship. I mean, how many people are going to be willing to drive to my place and hang out with me and my kids all the time? Not very many. Hopefully if John gets that IT job, maybe his schedule will change a bit to make dating a little easier. Otherwise, I'm really not going to bother at this point.
2) Found out today that my old guildie is getting deployed to Afghanistan for 12 months. He's thinking about coming out to visit John and I in about 6 months or so when he's up for his mini LoA (leave of absence). He's also thinking about flying another old guildie out so we can all hang out like the good old days of WoW. I seriously hope that comes to fruitation because I seriously miss those guys!
3) I am planning on attending Hell City with the most infamous Padre. We have been discussing sharing a hotel room to keep costs down. I am so keeping my fingers crossed that I am able to go once before I die. I have never been to Hell City before so it would be quite an adventure!
4) I'm about to do something crazy with my hair. Eventually. I will most definitely post pics if/when I get it done simply because I have never done anything like this before.
5) I have been watching The L Word. I have been living vicariously through these women. I am currently on Season 2. Man-That shit is so intense. Eventually I'll finish X Files and Oz and all of the other series I started (Arrested Developement).
