Alright.

iLvl = item lvl

Each piece of gear has an item lvl score. The avg of that iLvl has to meet a certain requirement to be able to run higher dungeons and eventually heroics.

I can understand Blizzard counting the gear in your bags for people who have duel specs BUT the gear should only count if you are WEARING it.

So I used the system. Bought a couple of dps pieces just to raise my iLvl to be able to run heroics.
