It was raining all day yesterday and that cooled it off a whole lot! it was actually kindof cold. it was nice.
So we went to the show. It was alright. I met my band there and we took all there stuff inside. the first band came on and they're called fabricate.. they were pretty good.
Then truth prevails came on ... everyone before hand was telling me that I should play (I was saying, "I know all but 3 songs") and they were saying I should play all but the 3 songs....I started considering it. But i didn't end up doing it because Kyle (my guitarist) said that it probably wasn't a good idea. I have all the other songs DOWN...which is awesome! I can't wait!
SO anyways, if anyone in CO has been to the undergound you'd know that there really isn't a stage....it's a dance floor, and that's where the bands play. I've been going there since I was 12 lol. So anyways, the first band was moshing with the crowd while they were playing which is pretty impressive don't you think? So when TP came on, people were trying to mosh with Kyle and they knocked him into the drum set and knocked his tuning completely out! He kept playing and it sounded weird cuz the tuning was OFF .... I could see the hatred build up and he got SO pissed!
I was thinking, I don't want them to do that to ME cuz i wouldn't be able to deal with that. I don't do mosh pits. I've been fucked up by them too many times. I'd be behind the drum set or something lol.
The crowd kept doing it tho and there was nothing he could do about it. Good for him tho. I'm glad he didn't start fighting with somebody.
I want to say this first, Truth Prevails is a very awesome band! Their songs are SO unique and the vocals are even more...I don't want you to think they suck cuz i actually LOVE their songs. and now I'm a part of it and it rounds the band out so much more. It is great with a bassist (me)
Anyways, as I was sitting watching them, this guy was sitting next to me. Apparently he was the singer for the next band that was about to be on...and he started talking shit about truth prevails...him not knowing i was the bassist...even tho they had JUST introduced me as their new bassist in the band not 5 minutes ago...the guys in the mosh pit called me down there. He said, "are you bored of this shit? cuz there's more heavy metal coming your way, i know you'll like it better" (Truth prevails isn't really heavy metal...they're different like hard core kinda experimental stuff. it's really cool stuff)
The other bands that were playing were all HEAVY metal...so kyle was nervous because Truth prevails isn't heavy metal. Anyway it all worked out.
I told the guy that I liked truth prevails and that I was their bassist. He just laughed....and stopped talking to me with a kindof embarrased look on his face.
When they ended, they played a great show! I told kyle about what the dude said and he got really pissed and so we left without watching them because they had also lied about some stuff i'm not sure...about the equipment to the other 2 bands as well. So we all left.
I feel bad tho, i was supposed to take foster (lead singer) home last night and i left without telling him i didn't want to....so i feel bad. Oh well, i 'll just tell him something came up. lol.
So I then went home and it was an ok night. kinda nerve wracking...I was really nervous for some reason...
ANYWAYS< i feel SO much better! I am healing up and i'm not so sick anymore. Weird huh? All u ever hear from me is I"M SICK!
