I've been temporarily laid off from work. They won't need me until May. Now I'm desperately searching for employment. All the video stores in my area are fully staffed 
That would be my dream part-time job. Looks like I'll have to settle for something mundane like convenience store clerk. Any offers?
Besides that I've been writing and editing my portfolio for my application to the only creative writing program in the city. I'm confident in my prose but I always feel goofy and embarassed after writing a poem.
And I got a black eye Sunday night. I've been displaying it with pride.
When this one starts fading, maybe I'll smash myself in the face again

Don't take that any guff from that swine...put a resume in every goddamn dream store in town, and then call them every day until they hire you just to be rid of you.
