Isn't it weird how much can change in a year? Sometimes I have a year where I'm like "wow, that was a year already?" and everything seems almost exactly the same. Other times it's like a world of difference.
Just a year ago I had just moved to a new area I didn't really know that well, I was finding a job, meeting new people. We had no furniture (I was sleeping on that goddamn air mattress). Now things seem so much more stable and... good.
It's also nice to live in a region that has seasons again. When it's always hot, everything is one long stream of blurry, sweaty, hungover mornings that all just blend together. There's no passing of time. It's just you and the hot, oppressive sun that tries to pound you into the ground.
Anyways, I decided to upload various pictures I've taken on the ol' cam phone over the past year because I don't really have much else to say

That's crazy that you had a similar work experience and ordeal. I thought of of course, "getting a new job" as well but I'm not ready to bail just yet. The money is SO good and this exactly the job that I want, it's where I want to be. So it's a real aneurysm right now.
Anyway, I saw 3:10 To Yuma today. Have you? I think you'd like it. Is it ever a man's man's flick. I felt manly afterwards...I think. I mean it's no Brokeback Mountain, but still. I think I like westerns...it was really good.

I was briefly obsessed with that Nico song...I love her but woof, that one, wow. The last lines are so crushing, seriously. I think some of the greatest ever. Reduces me...to something, humble I think.
