Yeah, the Dolls rocked, the new guys did pretty well, but I wish it coulda been Johnny. They did a medley of "You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory" and "Lonely Planet Boy" and dedicated it to Johnny.

The new guy on guitar looked eerily like Johnny, though. Italian guy with big hair! But not as skinny.

The new songs were pretty good, too. David Jo said they actually have a new album coming out.

This is interesting because the only times he reacted in a recognizable way in this episode were (a) when Paulie was ranting about his balls - the catalyst that brought Tony out of his coma; and (b) when Chris displayed the feeling that Tony "owes him" for Aidriana, coupled with his feeling that Tony was up to no good with her in season 5 (which I think he would have been if not for the accident; I mean, he expressed his feelings for Aide to Melfi).

My prediction is still that somehow Meadow tells Tony that Vito is gay, i.e. Vito wanting Finn, thereby further putting Vito in Tony's cross-hairs. Carmella obviously smells something fishy with Vito and Paulie, and it will be interesting to see how she approaches that, and how Tony reacts.

Did we know that Sil had asthma? I don't recall it ever coming up - definitely not to the extent that he would be hospitalized over it - a red flag for a sigh of weakness and his diminished credibility as a potential boss if any little day to day spat causes him that much stress. On the other hand, Sil might be the only guy who has actual affection for, and loyalty toward, Tony - again, interesting.

The wild cards here: Bobby (possibly aggravated by Janice) and A.J. (obviously aggravated by Junior).

I am not surprised that Chis isn't really making a power move, as it is pretty clear that he is conflicted about "the life" and his role in it. His motivations are more personal - again, all very fascinating. I like how they are drawing from old themes when they motivate the characters.

i recommend nashville skyline. it starts off with a song called "the girl from the north country" (i think, i don't have it in front of me) johnny cash is backing him up on that one. two pretty distinct voices, it's cool. it's kind of country-esque tho, you may not be into that. but good none the less.
