So I'm moved into the room I'll be living in this semester. It's in a long term hotel because it's about the same price as renting an apartment and it's got furniture and utilities included. I've got a nice view of the swimming pool which I probably won't ever use. The only things I've unpacked so far are my toiletries and the speakers for my...

I arrived in Northern Virginia around 7:30 this evening. While moving my belongings into my room I managed to drop my printer and now it's broken in a couple of places. I really don't feel like unpacking anything right now, so that will have to wait until the morning. My internet is really fucking slow and it's kind of pissing me off.

I've been here...

Today is my last day in New Jersey until Thanksgiving. I'll miss the cornfields and Italian restaurants. *sigh*

It's rather foggy and overcast outside and I'm not sure whether it's rained already, will rain later, or both. Somehow I also managed to catch a cold between last night and this morning, just in time for a 4 hour drive. I'm finished packing everything except my...

I envied you, girl.
I envied you, girl.
I can't take my eyes off you.

I've found that at any given time my emotional state can be described perfectly by lyrics from Burial, The Streets, or Jesu.

What bands or artists describe you most of the time?

I often feel like I am intruding when I read certain blogs. This is particularly true when the blog belongs to someone with whom I am acquainted but do not often speak to. Their blogs feel like glimpses into their minds, not meant for me or the other wanderers of cyberspace. But they are beautiful and fascinating, luring me back time and time again....

A cough and a prostate exam later I now know the cause of my most recent medical issue. Apparently it's a side effect of the mood stabilizer I take for my bipolar disorder. So now I have a new medication to treat the side effect of my other medicine. Hurray! whatever

I still need to pack for school, but I have no desire to do so...

Wow, the literature for the drug called it that?? I had been on Cymbalta so long that I don't know if that literature actually called the symptom anything or not. From the message boards I read, I'm guessing it didn't. It was a pretty even split of whether people's P-docs even admitted that the brain zaps/buzzes even existed. Sigh.

The mall you're talking about is Military Circle Mall. (Although Military Mall is actually a pretty accurate description, too, since it's so close to Norfolk's Naval base.) I haven't been there in ages upon ages. Nor, honestly, do I intend to go there any time soon! wink

Going to a urologist tomorrow. I hope I get some answers, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Other than that, this week will consist primarily of sorting through my possessions and deciding what needs to go to school with me. Books and electronics and such. Sadly I think I will have to leave my collection of junk fetishes at home. Oh well.

Well, at least you know now. About every three months I worry that I have some crazy disease and never really know.

I need to stop looking up symptoms that could be applied to everything.

I'm a worrier.

The good news is that I don't have cancer or anything serious as far as the doctor can tell. The bad news is that there's obviously something wrong and she doesn't know what it is. So I'm going to a specialist on Wednesday. I'm getting a bit tired of these inexplicable medical issues.
