I survived Sandy relatively unscathed and I'm thankful for it because much of New Jersey was not so lucky. I lost power Monday afternoon and it's still out. Chances are it won't be on for quite a while. Three of the four exits from my neighborhood are blocked by trees and/or power lines. My house is quite cold (about 52F [11C]) at the moment which is only a little warmer than it is outside. That said, we still have hot water which is a blessing but taking a shower when it's that cold outside isn't overly pleasant.
