When it comes to women I'm incredibly awkward. That girl I mentioned a blog or two ago... I don't think that's going to happen. I feel like I come off creepy and I don't know how I would go about changing that impression.

the sense of creepy is a hard thing for guys to shrug off. i think that would be the worst part of being a man, the way you can be taken as "creepy" when you're really just well-meaning but a bit shy and unsure of how to present yourself. i know some aspiring photographers who will have so much trouble making it because they come off as creepy.

Boredom probably isn't a very good reason to be drinking. Oh well.

You know what I love? Ampersands. It's the sexiest character in any typeface. I'm partial to the Caslon-style ampersand and I use it when writing by hand. I really like Halifax. It's got lovely weather and there is an inordinately high number of attractive girls here.

Yesterday's highlights include mud sliding, the tidal bore on the Shubanacadie, intense rapids, and horrific sunburn. The sunburn is slightly better today but not by much.

Tomorrow we're heading to Cape Breton. I'm not looking forward to six hours in the car with my family. Hopefully...
