And you will know that she was that girl. The one you dreamed about. The one you created in your mind. That simple, elgant perfection that had always existed in your thoughts. But she was there, standing, wanting nothing more than to be with you. Yet you turned away. You said, "it can't work." You with your jaded sighs and apathetic fixation. "The heart doesn't matter, it's only the mind" Those are the words you said. Completely ignoring the sentiment and passion in your chest. There is more than straight science. So much more. Science can only explain the physical reality, but ignores the emotion, the drive, the passion. She asked you to dance and you said, "no, I don't know how," or, "that's just stupid," or some other ridiculous turn of phrase to get out of it, when all she wanted was to feel you close to her. To smile at you and tell you that you made her happy. But you shunned it away. You let your bitterness and callousness get the better of you. Closed off. Now you hear the words, "I would believe only in a God that danced," and you understand what they mean. You find them close to you and you know that this is what it means to live. The here. The now. Not the future. When she says, " dance with me," your response is "of course love," without any hesitation because you know that all you need is to see her smile. That is all that matters. It's too late now though. She's leaving or she has gone. It doesn't matter anyway. You've made of mess of everything and your opportunity is gone.

Does this mean things are over? Never. Life goes on and you will meet others. Even they will never be that one, they will be the other one. You will think back and say, "this is what I've should have done," forever and maybe you will regret. But you must affirm and say you would do it all over again. It is only one of the brushstrokes painting the tapestry of you. Do you find it beautiful?
