Every time I turn on my little, red, 8 GB Sony Walkman it tells me "Every moment has its music."
I have to agree.
I have observed in my constant musings that as I grow older and some memories fade like favorite band stickers on the back windshields of cars, other memories remain as vivid as the Hi Def LCD 50 inch flat screen that tempts everyone in the electronic section of Wal Mart.
These vivid memories have songs attached to them. When I lay back and wander the well trodden paths of my past these memories unfold like soap operas complete with a dramatic score to emphasize every action.
I remember ...
Singing "Under the Bridge" with one of my best friends in the backseat of a car when it came on the radio.
I remember ...
One of the best games of pool I have ever shot in a pool hall in Denton, TX with several friends while Janet Jackson's "That's the Way Love Goes" played in the background.
I remember ...
Playing cards all night while 311's "Music" cd played over and over and over again
I remember ...
Thinking how talented Tupac was even when he was with The Digital Underground as "Same Song" plays on my little, red, 8 GB Sony Walkman and my fingers tap out these words.
I am constantly amazed at the soundtrack to my life so far.
