Am I mad? Yesterday I got a phone call from a friend; She (20) went to Pennsylvania with her mother (her mother lives in Pennsylvania) for a week on Sunday. She was crying (I was shocked because she is the type of person who is very strong on the outside.) Her mother flipped out, started to hit her and threw her out, She was only able to get some of her stuff out with her; With almost no money stuck in the middle of nowhere not knowing anybody and scared to death she called me, wondering what to do. She did't even know the name of the town she walked to. I had her ask the first person she seen for the name of the town. When she told me I told her to into a Diner or Store and call me back in a half hour to hour. So at 5:30pm I got in my car and drove down to Pennsylvania, Picked her up, and drove back. At 5:00am we arrived at her house, I helped her in with her stuff and calmed her down so she could sleep. At 6:00am I finally fell asleep and woke up at 7:45 to get ready for an appointment at the VA. When I got back from the Doc's I tryed to call her, the phone was disconnected, Her mother had The phone turned off first thing this morning and kicked her out (her mother ownes the house and has jacked her rent up every other month.) So today I was helping her pack her stuff and move her to her fathers (who lives in the same town) Tomorrow we have to have all her stuff out of the house; Her brother lives in the top half of the house, the mother only charges him 1/5th of the rent she charges her and he gets the garrage. The brother has been caught stealing from her appartment and the saddest thing is the mother said it can't be him because he said he did't do it. I thought I have problems but when I think about how her Family (Mother and Brother) is I thank God that as crazy as my Family is they are not like that! Now am I mad(because I just stopped what I was doing and drove (like a bat out of hell

) for 11+ hours knowing that if I ever needed help like that the odds would be 1 out of a thousand that she would help me)? I believe God gave me a chance to make up for some of the things I did in my past; I just hope he looks at it that way too

wow I just realized I now have something I could put under most humbling moment
What that mother did to her daughter was unspeakable. Some families really do have a lot of problems.
But you are a true friend for doing that for her. Wow! I don't know what bad things you have done in your life but I can't imagine it having been anything bad since it's apparent that you are capable of so much good.
::hugs:: Viki
