I believe that gender is irrelevant in matters of the heart. Desire follows the heart. Freud had interesting theory,Ironically, he called it "Polymorphous Perversity", the idea being that children are born in a state of being open to any Sexual or affectional preference and that society pushes us one way or the another. Whereas he called this "perversity", I maintain that it is a most natural state; A state we must actively cultivate.
I wish all of you a weekend full of bliss and total satisfaction!!!!!!!!!!

MY LORD GOD, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think that I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road though I may know nothing about it. Therefore will I trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.

ahhhh, freud ... i have a soft-spot for him i must admit. he certainly advanced some key points, even if he pathologized more than necessary. i agree with yr sentiment on his - affections are imho genderless in nature, although they may be constructed in people's minds and hearts in specific ways. sadly, too often society steps in and Makes Demands uponst people that twist natural inklings even further.
are you a freud fan in general? i ask b/c at the end of Civilization and its Discontents he gives rather a shout out to how non-aberrant queer living really is.
anyway, my head is full of ick, so hopefully this makes sense.
