I have great ideas on things to write about at the most inappropriate times.
Then when sitting in front of my trusted communication device I am stumped with not much to say......
what happened in London recently got me thinking about this book I was flipping through recently.
Its of the large hardcover variety titled "century" which marks the preceding one with photos of significant events.
A good portion of them were of war, death and destruction. Human created hardships (along with many extraordinary leaps forward in the standard of living, technology etc).
It wasn't all doom and gloom.
This made me start thinking about our generation/s most of us have not been directly effected by war and poverty. When it is shown on the nightly news it is dismissed although shocking.. It is not real or real enough. You have empathy for the people involved but are disconnected somewhat...
Are we living in the golden age? Is the new world order almost upon us??
I have a friend that is from Bosnia and enjoy hearing her stories of what life was like growing up in such a place. It sounds the same as here in many ways but in others the polar opposite.
It must be strange, drunk patrons waiting to be served while we are in fierce debate about the merits of a particular way of life......
My fasination with this contrast of cultures might have something to do with the fact tha I havent seen much of the world yet......
Oh the performance review turned out to be a job offer. A management position
I have hinted that I am interested........ but unsure as yet
