Today's thought: Sex.
Once upon a time I was dating this gal and we had sex 4-5 times a week. During that time I had a friend who insisted I go for a year without sex in order to appreciate it. A couple of years later I broke up with that gal. Going from five times a week to none was rough, but after a month I decided to try for the year. Perhaps you expect me to say it got easier. I won't, but I will say I started not to miss sex. What I missed was a woman. Everything carnal slowed down. I began to notice the finer intricacies of the female form. No longer did I just think "tits ass". If a woman spoke to me I would watch the quirks of her body language. If an attractive woman walked into the bar my eyes didn't go directly to her chest, but to her movement or her hands. You see the cuteness of the earlobe or the sensousness of the smile or the curve of the neck. When you get close to one the mere softness of the skin on her arm electrifies you. You hear that short release of breath after you kiss, and it makes you hold your own. When you embrace and feel the gentleness in which she rests her head against your chest, you feel as you mean something.
That long year ended quite a while back, but another one seems to be rearing its head. Save me.
