I've seen people be stunningly rude online. It certainly has to do with the impersonality of online communication...but once someone is given the "freedom" from being face-to-face with another person, what drives some people to be just shitty?
May is a 3 paycheck month for me (yeah, I'm so poor I keep track of that), so I hit Amoeba on Haight with a vengeance. Purchases included but not limited to:
Testors - Complete Recordings 1976-79
Thee Michelle Gun Elephant - Rodeo Tandem Beat Specter
Ashley Hutchings - 5
John Coltrane - A Love Supreme (thanks MrFantastic)
Jayhawks - Blue Earth (remastered + bonus tracks)
Pink Fairies - Kings of Oblivion (remastered + bonus tracks)
...and I'm listening to 'em right now. I did my usual ritual of grabbing a slice of pepperoni at Escape From New York pizza after the wallet emptying. This time, I had a REAL Coca Cola, fully charged with sugar and caffeine...am I living on the razor's edge or what??
Driving up to SF I saw an amazing sight. It had been pissing down rain all morning, but when I was heading north on 101, the sky was a brilliant, blazing blue. There were three layers of clouds; the low, little wispy ones that move very fast; the enormous, sculptured cumulonimbus in the middle; and the long, streaky ones way up on the top.
Everything was crisp and clear, and I was really glad to be there. And here.
P.S. If Quinne and Isobel went head-to-head in an adorable-off, who would emerge the victor?

They're both super cute and really nice. I choose both equally......
"A Love Supreme......Supreme, Supreme......."
If you're in LA, visit the Church of St. John Coltrane on Sundays. They do an entire jam of "Love Supreme."
