Holy shit, what a day.
Today I worked setting up a free concert downtown. Started work at 9 a.m. and finished at 11 p.m. The act was "old school" soul singer Brenton Wood ("Gimme Little Sign," "the Oogum Boogum Song"). I wish I could tell you how great it was, but I hardly got to hear any of it...too busy running around, doing stuff. But I did get to see him...he was wearing a fantastic tan zoot suit, with a feather in the hat that nearly touched the floor behind him.
It was EXTREMELY crowded...probably about 10,000 people in this rather small park. The music brought out just about every lowrider in Northern California. WAY too much machismo...add beer, and you get trouble. There were many arrests. Dorks.

Good thing is that this job gives me a hell of a workout, so I don't have to go to my gym as often. But in 2 weeks, I'm out o' work, so it's back to that damn place.
My boss sent me an e-mail requesting lunch with me on Monday...hmmmm...wonder what he wants to talk about? I doubt he's rescinding the "lay off." We'll see....
