Today went much better than I had anticipated, mainly due to how much better my shoulder is feeling.
I was on time for work, though it didn't matter because it was Remembrance Day and nobody was around to take my calls.
So I killed time until the ceremony was going on, and I had planned to go to that and then take a long lunch, but it turns out the whole office was going. So there went those plans.
But my bosses daughter is an old friend of mine who I haven't really talked to for maybe five years, and she came along, so we caught up which was pretty rad.
Then I killed time at work until the day was over. I should feel guilty, but no matter how hard I work in a week, the same amount of stuff gets done anyway, so there's no point in exerting too much effort when I actually don't have to... right?
After work a friend and I recorded a bunch of songs. The end result was about 14 minutes of Space Surf Rock, a genre I hope we invented. If you're wondering what it sounds like, just imagine what the Silver Surfer would listen to.
Earlier in the day a reporter from another town called me and asked if I could take pictures of the hockey game here because his team is versing our team. I agreed because guess what? The 5 minutes it requires to get a good picture of a hockey game means I can now say I freelanced for another paper. The resume is looking pretty dandy now. *smug face*
Now I'm just watching the Venture Bros. until bed time. Also, I get to see the chiropractor in the morning. Pretty stoked to get my bones cracked.
