What makes something important? How is initial importance determined?
Are there not many truly important things that most people don't see as important? Even if something is truly important, how does it retain that quality if none see it or realize it?
Is "importance" subjective?
I don't think so. I think as something which is "strongly affecting the course of events or the nature of things" by definition, importance can -- and maybe should only -- be used objectively.
How do we determine and point-out which usages are objective and which are subjective?
