Its been a busy two days....
I had meetings all mornign with the director of the housing industry association, he pretty much gave me the blueprint for how to run my business. This is pretty valuable for someone who has never built a house before that owns a construction company! I am technically a property developer but at the same time I am officially a builder wether I build the houses myself or get other people to build them for me is besides the point apparently.... I build therefore I am.
I have to do so much in the coming weeks, 1) change from a business to a company with shares et al.
2) get home warranty insurance
3) employ staff
4) make share offerings to the key employees
all of which seems quite bizarre to me - I guess I am moving into a new era of responsibility, something that I didnt think I had, however it is becoming increasingly evident that I am.
I still feel very young at 31 when most of the people I am dealing with at my level are usually over 45....they are great guys but I doubt wether I could ever hang out with them!
In the afternoon I finally went into my old work and said goodbye to everyone.... This upset me because I realised that this shitty computer technical support company aka Datacom had been my family for 4 years... bunch great guys, all super intelligent some quirky others just plain tedious uber-geeks. (I will never forget the smell of their nappy-san washed grey pullovers)
Whatever - I had great fun and now I have throw away that comeradery as well as a weekly salary.
It felt like a scene from 'Office space' as I left the corporate glass tower and got in my skanky F100 for the last time.... the parking nazi who hates my truck lowering the tone of the otherwise BMW ridden car parkscowled at me as usual as I opened the door and got in. I used to cower at him because he would always his damdest to get me hauled up infront of management for something - he just wanted my truck banned from his pristine white concreted car park.
So what did i do? - He was opposite my car doing affixing a 'dont park here' notice to some poor buggers car - so I started the motor then revved it menacingly - he turned around and glared at me - I waved back and then revved it up and dropped the clutch and smoked her up all the way down the white concrete driveway - U should have seen the face on the fucker in the rear view mirror - he was truely in shock.... still cracks me up now....
The though of him angrily cleaning my rubber off his carpark is sheer joy.... heh heheh - I know he'll miss me
The ocean is warm again this week, I spent today chasing schools of unusual Parrot fish that have come in with the warm current... sometimes I wish I was underwater all of the time... it's so peaceful and beautiful.
tired - must sleep, I helped my ex gf enter her first day of being dirty thirty - we managed to share mutual enjoyment at precisely 12am this morning.....
smile on face
