Now..a REAL update!
Wow! Life. It's funny how the pieces on the chess board fall into place sometimes. Christmas is right around the corner and one of my biggest wishes have come true.
A little background on my life:
When I was three-months-old my parents divorced. My dad got full custody and my mom and half sister vanished from my life for the past twenty-nine years.
Three days before Thanksgiving, my mom and sister contacted me via e-mail. They had been searching for me, and found me through my author website.
After twenty-nine years of crying, wondering and searching for my mother, we have been reunited, well, by phone anyway. Things are so hectic I don't have time to go to Illinois to visit them......and she's everything I hoped she would be, everything my dad wasn't: fun, loving, easy to talk to, layed back, etc.
My sister and I are just a like. When talking to her, it's like I'm having a conversation with myself. It's truly amazing.
That's why I haven't been around much. The pieces on the chess board keep moving, and mostly in my favor.

I can imagine that trying to establish a relationship after 29 years must be a bit scary too. But if they're half as cool as you say I'm sure you'll all be doing birthday get-togethers and hitting each other up for money in no time! ....just kidding :
