I just finished watching the Grammy's. That's just wrong.
I like the Dixie Chicks. I stood by them when most of their listeners abandoned them because they were Bush-bashers. But tonight to give them 75 awards just because Bush's stock is down? IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT THE ART, PEOPLE. The artistic quality of Dixie Chicks music has been pretty consistent. But there has been this stupid roller coaster ride of overnight stars, to scorned commies, to darlings of the left-wing celebrity types?
A couple of less-heavy observations from the Grammy's:
1. I learned Scarlet Johannsen recorded a CD. THAT will be interesting, I hope there are some sexy pictures in the liner notes - JUST KIDDING, I am interested in her voice and songwriting. Everything she has done to date has been brilliant, so I'm sure this will be also.
2. Carrie Underwood singing Bob Wills and the Eagles. That was sweet. She is really earning her keep in a lot of ways. She is not just a pretty face people, check her out.
3. How does Justin Timberlake get away with looking that good in an off-the-rack suit and buzz-cut. I'm jealous.
I am going on a vacation later this week. My first in 2 years. I'll be gone 14th through the 21st. Will the office survive without me? I'm going to Disney World in sunny Florida. Yeah, really.
I make everything perverted usually, so we'll see what I come back with from Mickey-mouse-land.
Miss me while I'm gone, ok?

Haven't spoken to you i a bit, how are things? I have every intention of winning one with my own name on it one day and i can assure you they won't be able to shift me from the stage with a mere audio cue. lol

In the history of my time with guys, I've had one bf who we sort of clicked when it came to cuddling and such. But he was bitchy and mildly abusive. The rest of the guys? Good friends, cool to hang with, some great sex here and there, but not really emotionally fulfilling.
