Some people are your friends for a time and some are forever friends. I'm 31 and I have very few short term friends. I hate people who like parts of you... I am an entire package. Take all of me or none. You can't be 1/2 my friend. Sometimes people scare me... think that they live in a vacuum and all revolves around them... they even call me... ME... selfish.
Then there are friends who go away after the finally realize that YOU AREN'T EVER GOING TO BE WITH THEM AND YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED AND THEY CAN'T BE HAPPY FOR YOU... to them i say. I don't need friends like that. I'm too old for that crap.

As I get older I find that friends come and go but enemies accumulate. But it is what it is. At this point I am like Seinfeld, I have about three friends and that is really all I want. Most people are full of drama and stupidity. I really don't like being around that so as soon as some one starts to annoy me I don't hang around them any more As a result I don't hang around many people.
In any case your engagement is all about you. Don't let someone's contempt for your happiness feel you with anger. People like that are pigs and if you roll around with them you will only get dirty and the difference is the pigs like it.
