The RECAP:
Friday night was cool. Made some $$$. I was up and ready to go to breakfast with my bud and all went well till I got within 1 mile from my destination...
There was a train slowly passing full of crates and I watched it pass for 5 minutes. Then we were underway.... the lift went up and to my left is a shopping center and 3 cars in front of me. Doing 10 miles an hour I looked down for 1 frikkin' second and BOOM... I rear-ended a Mercedes SUV. Apparently someone ahead was turning into the plaza... the nerve of them when I wanted to go straight.
The guy gets out. So nice! His wife and kid in the car (My boyfriend says "YOU HIT A FAMILY??!?"... Thanks Babe, rub that in). We call the police and then wait for the car to show. He fills out paperwork and we leave. No biggie. My hood is bent and his PLASTIC bumper is a bit tweaked. Nothing huge. But a TWEAKED MERCEDES BUMPER??? Why couldn't I have hit a Honda? C'est la Vie.
I now have to go to Orangeburg PD and get my accident report. In NY!!!
Well, thank goodness for insurance.
GOOD NEWS: I bought a scratch off and won $500. I guess the cosmos knew that I would be needing money to fix the Mercedes. Thank you Cosmos!!!!
