What a day.
First everyone is flipping out over the Wii. When are you going to get more? Can I buy one and come back inside and buy another? I will give you 100 dollars if you get me one, here is my number. Good grief. Work was packed out, I had a million dollars in my register, people hollering, people stealing stuff, and here i am just trying to maintain. What's worse is If I hear that song one more time they play at work I am going to flip out. I just want to know what comes after that verse! They only play bits and pieces. GRRR I want to know what the song is if I am subjected to hear it all day.

During of all of this. A guy comes up to buy a cd I just bought not to long ago. As I scan it, I start singing the song. He, covered neck to fingers in tattoos starts singing it with me. We just don't stop. We get louder during this one cool part of the song. A lady and man behind us are pissed but I made a point to go really slow during the check out as to continue singing. Literally we finish the song together. It was amazing. I had to tune out everything and everyone. To many people around me make me feel like I can't breath at times. I like tuning out.
My kids are all away tonight. I cannot tell you how nice this is with such a day as today was.
There is always joy in the midest of insanity. Thank you tattoo guy. You could have come to any other check out lane.

Thank you Incubus for writting Dig.

I spent a long time working in retail myself. One of my many stops was Blockbuster. Sometimes you would get a great customer who wanted your opinion and I would give it freely. Then they would come back and ask me again and again. I loved those customers. One good customer can make up for a lot of bad ones. I think it was fantastic that you guys had that shared experience.
