this will be a multiparter so bear with me!
First a little history;
I'm older! MUCH OLDER!!!! so yes i was around when this whole crazy thing started! ( actually it emorphed then regressed)! Anyway a little history. Lets flash back to the early 90's.( I know it started in the 80's but let's fast foward) I'll start by taking you to where i lived at that pointHOUSTON TX. Not exactly on the "cutting edge of things" A boy like me, nothing to do.(emo's and lola's dosn't count)! listen to the same old crap while wearing your shoes and collard shirts. I just stayed home! never went out untill my friends took me to S.O.M.E. places where there was no dress code,there were no clicks, it was come as you are get trashed and have a good time! with out all the garbage music. what were these guy's diong? playing 2 or 3 and on a rare occasion 4 records at a time and it was intense! everyone dancing having a good time talking to one and other! Wow holy shit I was in heaven. It didn't matter that I was was wearing ball huggers with ripped up bottoms (to simulate bell bottoms) showing off my "rainforest army" boots, straw hat, and flannel shirt. Acceptance was divine, the skillsmanship was great and the people were cool.......
