Smile.. well. I want to learn portuguese because I want to travel to Brazil and find my family. My dad's entire family is there, and I've never met any of them, and I also have brothers and sisters there, whom I've never met.
I imagine it would be much more difficult to find them without learning portuguese.
Well. I grew up in a household that spoke Spanish, French, and Portuguese. I actually can understand spanish very well, and Portuguese o.k. -- but I can't speak it at all. So I think I could pick it up alright if I had some direction...
