Went to see Dick Dale (who played the electric guitar track on "Pulp Fiction") last Friday night. At a nice, small, intimate venue too: there were not more than 100 of us in the audience, in a curtained off corner of the Crystal Bay Club at Lake Tahoe. He entered from the back, and began playing about as far from me as my computer monitor is right now.
It was good to hear and see a really talented musician, as opposed to some lip-synching manufactured pop-star (like you-know-who). As a musician myself, I picked up on things he did that most people probably would miss, and that guy really knows his shit!
