How is everyone?
I've only just renewed my membership after being off the site for the last month or so. It is good to back though.
Recently I have started working as a freelance audio engineer. Which is something fun for a little extra cash. While it is hard to find time between work and uni it is a hobby which makes it refreshing to sit down and do. I am currently working on the mixing side of a split solo LP with a mate of mine that I'll be releasing later this year. While that side of things is pretty quiet, hopefully it will eventually mean that I don't have to do anything else!
In more exciting news @vuhlkansu and I went down to Hobart recently to have our engagement party. It was a great night and it was great to get away for a week. It is really strange heading back to your home town after a while of living away. Especially a place as quiet as Hobart. Nothing much changes there as opposed to any biggish city which is evolving constantly and rapidly. It isn't a bad thing though. It is kind of nice, especially when all of your good mates are down there to wish you well.
It is funny though how when you go on holiday you almost feel like you've beat the system? Even if only for a couple of days. You've won. You're not at work. You're flying free and some how you can afford more than you ever could while you're at home. Then you get back and it feels like you've escaped the bubble known as real life.
Anyway, it is too early for that kind of philosophy. Good to be back.
