Arizona and "whore pills"
I know that it has been a long time since I have written one of these, but I haven't found anything that was stupid enough to get me pissed. I started to worry that I was getting old and maybe I just didnt have the fire that I used to. I want to thank the entire state of Arizona for proving me wrong.
Arizona is trying to pass a law that makes it legal for employers to ask their female employees if they are on birth control pills, and if so, this new law would make it legal to fire those female employees who are. I don't believe that I am out of line for saying WHAT THE FUCK, ARIZONA???? How does this law sound like a good idea? How in the blue hell do they pitch this law to the people that live in Arizona and make it not sound fucking crazy?
Let's take a look at Arizona's track record. This bullshit birth control law has come out of Arizona. A few years ago, anyone driving through Arizona who's skin was darker than Jerry Seinfeld's had to prove that they were born in this country. And if Im not mistaken, Arizona was the last state to recognize Matin Luther King day as a national holiday.
ARIZONA IS A FUCKING SHIT HOLE!!!!
If you want a laugh, do a google search for "Arizona Tourist Spots". The first website that pops up provides you with 3 options "Phoenix Guide", "Tuscon Guide" and "Grand Canyon". That mean, According to the Arizona board of tourism, THERE ARE ONLY THREE PLACES WORTH SEEING IN ARIZONA!!!! So if there isn't a whole lot of reason for people to visit your state, you might not want to piss off the people who already live there.
So now the state wants to give the employers the power to fire women because they use birth control. Are the employers paying for the birth control? If not, then shut the fuck up. If you want to argue that the employers ARE paying for the birth control through the company provided medical insurance? What do you think would be cheaper, paying for their employee's birth control, or paying unemployment for the hundreds of women who will probably lose their jobs?
This is a bit off a tangent, but not by much. There is a debate right now about whether a women's birth control should be paid for with tax dollars. And I know a few people whose heads are about to explode over this subject. But if my choices are for my tax dollars to pay for a woman's birth control, or to support another welfare mother, my only question is "Do you take a check or should I stop at the ATM?" And I know there are people out there who are saying "Well I shouldnt have to pay for a woman's birth control, they should just practice abstinence". To those people I say,
"I have just revoked your talking privledges. You can have them back when you show me that you are 20 IQ points smarter." THERE AREN'T 9 BILLION PEOPLE ON THE PLANET BECAUSE ABSTINENCE IS A GREAT IDEA!!!! Should we practice abstinence? Maybe. But we should PROBABLY not gorge ourselves on hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza and other shit that makes us fat. And we should PROBABLY get off of our asses and get some exercise so we arent leading the world in obesity. Now I think we can all agree that the things that PROBABLY should be done arent going to get done. So we need other options.
Let me ask the employers another question. Do you enjoy paying for a woman's maternity leave? Think about this with the half of a brain that was used to think up this law in the first place. When a woman is on maternity leave, she isnt contributing to your company at all....but you are still paying her. If you are going to be paying her anyway, don't you want her to be doing something productive for your company? WELL WHO THE FUCK NEEDS MATERNITY LEAVE LESS THAN THE WOMEN ON THE PILL????? If I was the CEO of a campany, I would be passing them out.
And if you are the nit-wit dip-fuck politician who thought up this law, then youre a moron. If you are pro birth control pill, then chances are that there wont be so many of those pesky abortions that you love to talk about on the campaign trail. So when reelection times comes around, you can spin this and try to feed your constituents buffet tables full of bullshit by saying that since you have been elected, the abortion rate has declined. Some of us will know that you are full of shit but we wont call you out publicly on it. We can all just do the "wink wink nudge nudge" thing when you talk about how you single handedly conquered the abortion issue.
Granted, I do have a junior college education, but I have always been told that this country was founded by people who were looking to escape religious persecution. And when they esacped religious persecution, they killed the native people who wouldnt convert to the religion that they brought to their new land. Ironic? Just a bit. But if you fast forward our history, you learn that our founding father established this great nation on the principles of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Hapiness. Which sounds great until you realize that this country was founded by a group of rich white slave owners who believed all men were created equal. So Im never surprised when my government tells me that abortion is immoral, but they have no problem with a woman being fired for being on birth control. So the only viable option is for women to stop having sex altogether. But then that creates another problem. If all women decide to stop having sex, then where will all the senators and congressmen get their hookers from?
